Allamakee County Driftless Center

Overlooking the Mississippi River outside of Lansing, Iowa, this beautiful driftless conservation and education center seeks to educate community members on the importance of the driftless area along the Mississippi. The 12,000 square foot building, which was the culmination of ten years of design and associated fundraising hosts a variety of educational displays for community members and visitors to immerse themselves in the rich history of the area. The building was partial funded by the Iowa DOT Scenic Byways Grant.
