Kyle is President of our firm. Kyle has been the lead designer on many of our more involved building design projects. He specializes in three-dimensional modeling and uses these models to develop the exterior design. This system makes your understanding of the project easier from the first ideas through the last interior details of a project. He worked summers in construction during college and learned a lot about working in the field. He enjoys public speaking and is also a Leader in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) for accreditation in sustainable design and construction practices.

Jake hails from Chicago Illinois and joined us from the University of Iowa. Jake’s driving ethos is to always be improving and learning both professionally and personally. As our COO, day to day he makes sure the rest of the firm has everything they need to do the job to the best of their abilities and stays on top of our budgets and deadlines. As a team first type of person Jake enjoys playing soccer and other sports in his free time as well as helping people with their financial literacy in a world that does not teach it well.

Sarah has great attention to detail and the ability to put herself in your shoes, which makes her a great asset to any project. Her superpower is empathy! Mike works on a variety of projects types, including libraries, schools, social service agencies, conservation education centers and government buildings. Many of his projects make use of various governmental funding sources. Mike can help you find grant writers and fund raisers, while charting you through the process of working with these agencies. He spent 9 years as a former City Council Member, Mike currently serves on various county and city boards including Clayton County Planning and Zoning, City Variance and Tree Boards. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family camping.

Bethany is certified in historic preservation and has built her career with historic preservation as a cornerstone of her portfolio. As Past President of Save Cedar Rapids Heritage, a local non-profit focused on raising awareness of the value of historic buildings in our communities, she has an empathy and understanding of the issues of historic preservation. Bethany is originally from Marquette, Iowa, a small town in the northeast, so she can relate to the issues of life in our smaller communities. She has extensive project management experience, having led complicated and difficult projects. Bethany places a high value on craftsmanship and quality design and construction.

Keagan is a graduate of Kirkwood and has an A.A.S. in Architectural Technology. He has a background in custom cabinetry and works at MGA as a BIM Technician. He enjoys learning new things and is looking to grow with the company as a draftsman. Outside of the office he enjoys expressing his creativity in drawing/ sketching. Another hobby of his is coffee, specifically home espresso and pour overs. He works as a coffee roaster outside of the office and enjoys coffee in every way.

Ingrid is originally from Lima, Peru and studied Architecture & Urbanism at PUCP (Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru). She moved to Iowa in 2019 and started working at MGA in 2022. She works on different types of projects and assists in all phases of design. She is currently an associate member of the Marion Arts Council and also volunteers at the Linn Mar Community School District. In her free time, she loves watching movies and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs.

Thomas graduated from Iowa State University with honors and a bachelor’s in architecture. He started working at MGA in 2025. Thomas has experience working on healthcare, residential, and historic preservation projects as well as schools, event spaces, theaters, and multifamily housing. Thomas enjoys complex problem solving, looking at an issue from different angles as an answer forms. He is very meticulous in his work and enjoys highly detailed designs. Thomas also enjoys exploring new and developing construction materials such as mycelium bricks. Outside of work Thomas enjoys pottery, drawing, 3d printing, board games, boating, and wood working. Kristin is originally from Manchester, Iowa and has come back to Iowa after a 15-year hiatus in Dallas, Texas where she gained experience as an Administrative Assistant working at a 50 person architecture firm.
