Eastern Iowa Light and Power | 52,000 SF | Wilton, Iowa
This project includes renovation of a 52,000 square foot former plastics plant into a new office, warehouse, and garage facility for this Rural Electric Cooperative. A new 20,000 square foot addition was added to the original building to provide space for the larger trucks and trailers used by the field crews. Project also includes a two bay vehicle maintenance area. The lower level of the two story office that was constructed inside the existing building houses a tornado shelter that protects the 24 hour dispatch center that serves several eastern Iowa power companies.
