Eastern Iowa Light and Power purchased a former 52,000 square foot plastics plant and through this project it was transformed into a new office, warehouse, and garage facility. In addition, a 12,000 square foot bay was created for larger trucks and trailers used by field crew members. The lower level of the two story office that was constructed inside the original building houses a FEMA safe tornado shelter that protects the 24 hour dispatch center.
