Following the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for Historic Preservation, this building façade rehabilitation project included a total of 14 buildings located in the downtown La Porte City area. After careful study of the participating buildings work included masonry repair and mortar repointing, window replacement, storefront renovations, painting, and a variety of cornice and trim detailing to bring further life to this historic district.
